Watching The Wheels

I turned 30 years old on Christmas Day. Thirty is one of those milestone birthdays that makes you take stock of where you’ve been, & where you’re heading. John Lennon was 40 years old when he recorded this incredible song Watching the Wheels. I’ve been listening to this track since I was small, and although it may sound simple on the surface, like all the best Lennon songs there are deep layers of meaning that unfold the more you play it.

It’s a wonderful gift to spend my life making music & performing for people all over the world. I can say I am so happy with my life at 30, and with all the great things that are happening for me and my brothers in Promise of the Real. And it is a comfort to me to know that, God willing, as I reach other milestones in my life, this song will be there to remind me to pause, take a breath, and have gratitude for what is real in life. Thank you, John Lennon.
